The 2020 Honda CR-V won the green SUV of the year award from US publication Green Car Journal. This is the sixth time that a Honda vehicle has won the prestigious award recognizing the industry's most efficient vehicles.

"The Honda CR-V is already very efficient with its traditional gasoline engine and has been repeatedly recognized as a consumer favorite," said Ron Cogan, editor-in-chief of Green Car Journal.

The standard four-cylinder turbo engine in the 2020 Honda CR-V is one of the most efficient in the segment, whether the consumer adds AWD or not. With an average fuel consumption of only 8.7 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway for an average of 8.1 liters per 100 kilometers, the CR-V is significantly more fuel efficient than the the Mazda CX-5, the Toyota RAV4, the Nissan Rogue or the Hyundai Tucson.
