Read moreWet weather can create hazards on the road. We at Lakeshore Honda want you to stay safe on the road in rainy conditions. You will find some driving tips below for rainy and slippery conditions.
Perhaps the best thing a driver can do when driving in the rain is to simply reduce his or her speed. Slow down when driving and make sure you have plenty of time to brake and turn. This will greatly reduce the chances of hydroplaning off the road and crashing. You should also leave extra distance behind any vehicles that you may be driving behind to give you extra braking time.
Being proactive also helps. Make sure your headlights work and that your tires have enough tread left on them. Worn tires are much more likely to careen out of control and have less grip on the road when conditions are wet.
