This engine is not only more powerful, but it is also more fuel-efficient with an average fuel consumption rating of just 8.1 litres per 100 kilometres with all-wheel drive. In other words, the turbocharged engine will deliver better performance with quicker passing and more confident accelerations, but it is also very fuel-efficient. The base engine in the CX-5 is a 2.5 L 4-cylinder that is not turbocharged and delivers 187 horsepower. The difference isn't huge, but you will notice it on the road and the CR-V will give you better overall performance.
