Read moreWhile there are many options to choose from when trying to find the perfect van for your family, the Honda Odyssey was specially designed to be more comfortable and convenient than any other van on the market today. To better illustrate just throw the Odyssey compares to the other vans in its class, we have compared the 2020 Honda Odyssey to the 2020 Dodge Grand caravan.
When you first get into the 2020 Honda Odyssey, you can tell that the interior was specifically designed to design to help keep up with busy families on the go. The Odyssey features a spacious interior that s able to seat up to eight people comfortably. The rear seats offer plenty of legroom and headspace to ensure that everyone is comfortable. To help to add even more to the comfort level, the Odyssey also comes standard with heated front seats and an available heated steering wheel
The rear cargo area in the Odyssey offers plenty of space. However, if you need a little extra room, the third-row seats can be folded down, and the second-row Magic Slide seats can be moved to the left or the right to make a customizable area for your passengers and your cargo. The rear also features an available HondaVAC system that allows you to quickly clean up any crumbs or other messes that may be left behind by the back seat passengers.
The 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan does offer seating for up to eight people as well as a customizable rear cargo area. However, it does not come standard with heated front seats and it does not even offer a vacuum system to help make cleaning up easier.
The 2020 Odyssey features Honda's state-of-the-art CabinWatch and CabinTalk system. With these two available systems, the driver can easily view the second and third-row seats and use the van's intercom system to ensure that everyone can hear the driver when he or she speaks.
The Odyssey also has several entertainment features to keep the backseat passengers entertained. The available 10.2-inch rear monitor has a built-in DVD and Blu-ray player and comes with an HDMI jack and two wireless headphones.
The Grand Caravan's available rear entertainment system only comes with a 9-inch monitor and a built-in DVD player.
The Odyssey comes with a 3.5-litre V6 engine that is capable of delivering 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This powerful engine gets an estimated 8.5 L/100km on the highway and 12.2 L/100km on the city.
The Grand Caravan comes standard with a 3.6-litre V6 engine that is not quite as fuel-efficient as the Odyssey's 3.5-litre engine. The 2020 Grand Caravan gets an estimated 9.4 L/100km on the highway and 13.7 L/100km in the city.
