Read moreThe CR-V is one of the most popular compact crossovers around the globe. With exceptional interior volume, bold engine power, attractive efficiency and more, the CR-V continues to surpass the competition. Here, we compare the CR-V to the 2020 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross.
The 2020 Honda CR-V is the better performer
All CR-V trims include a turbocharged 1.5L four-cylinder engine that output 190 horsepower with 179 lb-ft of torque. The Eclipse Cross has the same engine type, but it only generates 152 horsepower. The Eclipse Cross’s torque level is only slightly higher at 184 lb-ft.
Even with significantly more horsepower, the CR-V FWD fuel economy of 8.3 L/100 km and 7.0 L/100 km (city/highway) and AWD consumption of 8.7 L/100 km and 7.4 L/100 km place it far ahead in the efficiency competition. The 4WD Eclipse Cross rates at a higher 9.6/8.9 L/100 km. The CR-V features a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and the Eclipse Cross includes a less-efficient eight-speed automatic. The CR-V lowers cost of ownership with better fuel efficiency.
The 2020 Honda CR-V has superior cargo and passenger volume
The CR-V opens up individual passenger comfort with more individual room than the Eclipse Cross. With more front head, leg, and up to 44 mm of additional shoulder room, you will feel more relaxed after each trip. Rear seating offers even more surprises. The CR-V has up 49 mm of more head room, an astonishing increase of 129 mm of leg room, and shoulder room. No matter who you take along, you will have a peace of mind that everyone has room to relax in your CR-V.
Honda designed the CR-V to have one of the most versatile and roomy interiors in the segment. Behind the front seats and with rear seats folded, the CR-V opens up 2,146 litres of cargo volume. The Eclipse Cross falls far behind with only 1,385 litres in the same configuration. Behind the rear row, the CR-V continues to dominate with up to 1,110 litres of volume. The Eclipse Cross only contributes up to 640 litres in this situation. The CR-V offers more room and flexibility for you and your family’s active lifestyle.
The Honda CR-V is roomier and performs better on the road than the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. You can shop for your car online with us. Our representatives are waiting for your call and can answer all your questions about the 2020 Honda CR-V.
