2020 Honda CR-V is Coming to Canada

The Honda CR-V has been one of the best-selling SUVs in North America.  Its sleek and stylish design combined with its versatile and comfortable interior is what has continued to make the CR-V very desirable for the last few years. The Honda CR-V Hybrid has been available since 2017. However, it never quite made its way to North America. Now, Honda has finally decided to bring the Honda CR-V hybrid to Canada.

In addition to the style and comfort features that the CR-V offers, one of the other things that have made this SUV so popular is the fact that it is surprisingly fuel-efficient.  The 2020 Odyssey has gotten a few well-noticed changes this year. The exterior and interior's style has been updated this year as well s the technological advancements. One of the most noticeable changes to the 220 CR-V is that it will now be offered as a hybrid. While the CR-V is already known for its impeccable fuel economy, many fans now expect that the hybrid version will help to propel the SUVs popularity to unimaginable heights.

Stylish Interior

The 2020 Honda CR-V has gotten a bit of a makeover on the interior. The centre console now offers more storage options as well as an easier-to-use bin.

The interior is very spacious and is able to seat up to five passengers comfortably. The trunk space is also capable of holding plenty of cargo. But if you do need a little extra room, the rear seats are able to fold down in a 60/40 split, creating plenty of space for large and bulky objects.

With the CR-V, you can rest assured that you and your passengers will be comfortable throughout your entire trip. The available premium leather seats and standard heated front seats ensure that you stay warm and cozy during those cold, Canadian winters.

Safety Features

The 2020 CR-V offers one of the most comprehensive list of standard safety features. Some of the safety features that come standard on the CR-V hybrid include:

  • Electronic Brake-force Distribution
  • Side Curtain Airbags
  • Hill Start Assist
  • SmartVent side Airbags
  • Vehicle Stability Assist
  • 4-Wheel Anti-Lock Brake System
  • LED daytime running lamps
  • HondaLink Assist Automatic Emergency Response System

A BlindSpot Information system with Rear Cross-Traffic Monitor system is available on the Touring trim levels.

Power and Performance

The CR-V Hybrid will feature a 2.0-litre I-4 engine that is paired with a two-motor hybrid system and will produce 212 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque.

The gas-powered CR-V runs off a 1.5-litre, 190 horsepower engine and gets an estimated 8.4 L/100km in the city and 7.0 L/100km on the highway.

As of right now, there have been no EPA amounts listed for the CR-V Hybrid, but Honda predicts that we will be able to see about a 50% perfect increase in the fuel economy.

The new Honda CR-V Hybrid is set to go on sale in Toronto early next year. If you have any questions about the new hybrid vehicle or would like to learn more about Honda's other hybrid vehicles that are already on sale, then please contact us today.
