Read moreBuilding a family and the life that comes with it is one of the best things about being alive. The desire to spend time with the kids brings with it the need for a vehicle that can keep up with all the activities and travelling this entails. The Honda Pilot is just that. It is the one tool that makes everything possible.
We all don’t live in Disneyland where everything is within walking distance, from restaurants, lodging, activities and shopping. This is why families require the means to get everyone under one mobile roof to get around and this is where the Honda Pilot comes in. In fact, it could very well be a second house, but on wheels.
Launched over 15 years ago, the Honda Pilot has evolved with the modern family and this is why it can easily cater to all its needs, starting with space and onboard entertainment.
The Pilot can seat 7 (with available 2nd row captain seats) or 8 depending on the selected trim. With the standard 3rd row up, trunk volume is a usable 524 litres. When stowed, the volume grows to a gargantuan 1,583 litres – here, everything and we do mean everything, will fit.
Once everyone is settled and comfortable, features such as heated seats in the first and second rows, a heated steering wheel, up to four USB connectors, and a Wi-Fi hotspot can be at your disposal. Also included are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HondaLink, Bluetooth streaming and a high-powered audio system. Once more, depending on trim, an advanced rear entertainment system with a 10.2-inch screen is offered to keep the peace.
For the adults, the Honda Pilot happens to be very satisfying to drive. All versions include our Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4) all-wheel drive system mated to a frugal yet powerful 280-horsepower 3.5-litre V6 engine. The V6 is efficient enough to return an impressive 9.3L/100km fuel consumption average. It’s also strong enough to tow up to 5,000 lbs. when properly equipped.
The ride quality and level of refinement make long journeys an absolute pleasure. Knowing that all that is most precious to you is on board and that your Pilot is fitted with some of the latest active safety features give you an extra level of peace of mind.
