Honda Reveals Completely Redesigned 2026 Passport TrailSport SUV

The 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport has been redesigned from the ground up to deliver unmatched off-road capability, rugged design, and advanced technology. Available in Canada early next year, it promises to be the most adventure-ready Honda SUV yet.

Rugged Exterior and Off-Road Performance

Built around a bold "Born Wild" concept, the Passport TrailSport features a muscular backpack design theme with aggressive elements like a strong front grille, hood scoop, and flared fenders. Wider tracks and 18-inch all-terrain tires give it a powerful stance, while practical trail features include steel skid plates and breakaway orange recovery hooks. The integrated rear glass antenna minimizes trail damage, and the SUV is available in striking colours like Sunset Orange and Ash Green Metallic.

Under the hood, the Passport TrailSport boasts a 3.5-litre DOHC V6 engine that produces 285 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque. Paired with a refined 10-speed automatic transmission and paddle shifters, it delivers both power and driving precision. The upgraded i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system features 40% more torque capacity and seven selectable drive modes, including Trail and Tow, to optimize performance across terrains. It can tow up to 2,267 kg (5,000 lbs), making it perfect for outdoor adventures.

Off-road capability is enhanced with a specialized suspension, all-terrain tires, and a TrailWatch camera system (standard on TrailSport Touring) for better obstacle navigation. Features like Hill Descent Control and improved steering make driving on tough trails safer and more controlled.

Adventure-Ready Interior and Advanced Technology

The interior is spacious, comfortable, and tech-rich, designed for daily life and rugged escapes. Increased rear legroom and clever storage options accommodate gear and passengers easily. Standard features include Body-Stabilizing Seats, a 10.2-inch digital display, and a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen with Google Built-in, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. TrailSport Touring models add luxury touches like a 12-speaker Bose audio system and ambient lighting.

Practicality is further emphasized with ample cargo space, up to 2,356 litres, and thoughtful storage throughout the cabin. The rugged yet refined interior materials ensure easy cleanup after any adventure. Safety is top-of-the-line, with Honda Sensing technology, eight airbags, and next-gen features like Traffic Jam Assist and a wide-view camera system.

Combining ruggedness, technology, and refined power, the 2026 Honda Passport TrailSport is built for thrill-seekers who demand both adventure and comfort. This SUV is ready to tackle any trail or journey, redefining adventure for Canadian drivers.
